Givskud Zoo is a combined safari park and zoo. The area covers 60 ha, where you will meet more than 1000 animals from all over the world.

It is a very beautiful and well-maintained park. Plan to spend a whole day. The trip takes about 1 hour from Henne Strand.

RIBE

Ribe – Denmark's oldest city, was founded around the year 700, where traders from near and far came to the Viking trading place. Today, they come to experience the atmosphere in the historic streets.

Ribe is a beautiful city with its well-preserved cobblestone streets, Ribe Cathedral from the 1100s, and the city's dramatic stories. The trip takes about 1 hour from Henne Strand.

RINGKØBING

The town of Ringkøbing has been a market town since 1433 and is worth a visit. The old town center with the square and church is incredibly beautiful and well-preserved. Everything in the town is carefully restored, and much is done to preserve "the old Ringkøbing." The night watchmen, known since 1249, make their rounds at 9:00 PM every evening during the summer period. A magnificent drive with the Danish North Sea on one side and Ringkøbing Fjord on the other. In the southern part of the fjord lies Tipperne. So bring your binoculars and visit the bird reserve, which is an extremely important reserve for migratory birds that come here and stock up on their long journey to Scandinavia. Varde is a cozy trading town with narrow, charming streets. Here you will find good shopping opportunities and something for every taste. Visit Minibyen in Varde, which is the world's only craft-correctly constructed miniature town. The trip takes about 25 minutes from Henne Strand.

Blåvand

At the westernmost point of Jutland lies the tourist town of Blåvand, which offers countless wonderful experiences for both big and small. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore or visit one of the town's many shops if shopping is on your mind. Blåvand carries many exciting stories and remnants from World War II, which can be experienced at the Bunker Museum Tirpitz. If you feel like exploring the area around the campsite, Blåvand is undoubtedly worth a visit. The trip takes about 30 minutes from Henne Strand.
